Glass Vacuum Lifters

GLASS VACUUM LIFTER

The glass industry has very ancient origins. If in the beginning the machining was mostly artisanal, with the advent of industrialization, the production processes underwent modernization, which allowed an increase in production volumes and therefore required greater automation.

The purpose of glass vacuum lifter is to lift and move the glass safely both in the production line and during the installation and laying-up phases.

In the glass industry, the handling of small and large glass plates is an extremely delicate and important phase, as it involves multiple needs for rotation and tilting of glass, especially for laying on site.

A practical and safe solution for all the needs of handling glass sheets are glass lifting equipment with vacuum, an accessory that connects to the lifting system and operates with the negative vacuum pressure to secure the material grip.

The vacuum lifter can be powered by an electric vacuum pump or compressed air pump (Venturi tube).

Components of the Glass Vacuum Lifter

FRAME AND VACUUM CIRCUIT

The vacuum lifter is made of a electrowelded steel frame with high yield limit with a central hook for connection to the lifting member. The hook can have different holes to allow a different inclination of the load.

In addition to the structure and the suction cups, the vacuum circuit installed on board, consist of:

  • safety tank for vacuum reserves ;
  • Vacuum anti-drop retention valve;
  • the vacuum gauge with colored and graduated scales to monitor the degree of vacuum reached;
  • the vacuum generator (electric or compressed air pump);
  • the valve for taking and releasing the material;
  • the vacuum distribution circuit, which reaches the suction plates;
  • the acoustic and visual alarm system automatically signals a low vacuum level, signaling to the operator if the grip has reached a safety condition.

HANDLE

Each vacuum lifter is equipped with a maneuvering handle to correctly control the movements. The device is equipped with a special support for the control panel that controls the movements of the plant.

Glass handling equipment: type of suction plates

The type of suction plates is chosen according to the type of material and surface: in the case of standard glass suction cups, suction plates will be in oilproof vulcanized rubber.

Circular, rectangular, square and oval shapes are available.

On demand, high temperature resistant suction platescan be installed with different shore hardness values, anti-slip / stain-resistant, with vulcanized rubber bellows seal or sponge rubber gasket for irregular surfaces.

There are Low Emission Protection Caps and protective caps for the suction plate rubberduring transport and warehousing.

The suction cups vary by number and size, depending on the lifting needs. In fact, glass vacuum lifters can be equipped with two, four, six, eight, ten, twelve, fourteen, and sixteen plates with standard lifting capacities that can swing between 200 and 1600 kg.

You can customize the functions of the glass vacuum lifter for indoor use, such as industries and laboratories, or exteriors such as glazing glazing and continuous facades, always in accordance with UNI EN13155 harmonized standards, which specify the safety requirements for lifting equipment .

Suction plates can be either single or multiple, and even fixed or adjustable both longitudinally and transversely.

Glass handling equipment: all our solutions

Here are the main categories of glass suction cups:

  • electric power supply vacuum lifter with manual movements;
  • electric power supply vacuum lifter with electric movements;
  • compressed air vacuum lifter manually operated;
  • compressed air vacuum lifter with pneumatic movements;
  • fixed vertically vacuum lifter , suitable for very large, thin and fragile glasses;
  • vacuum lifter for vertical lifting of glassware;
  • vacuum lifter for curved glass
  • self-powered vacuum lifter with rechargeable batteries.

The more flexible solutions have a 0-360 ° rotation and a 0-90 ° tilt.

GLASS HANDLING EQUIPMENT: OPTIONAL FOR THE ELECTRIC VERSION

For electric versions, we have countless options, such as:

  • double or triple voltage, particularly suitable for site applications (220 Volt single phase – 380 Volt three phase – 24 Volt continuous current);
  • ergonomic telescopic or tilting handles;
  • Adjustable hooks for special needs;
  • motorized counterweight for balancing large loads;
  • palletable supports for storing and transporting of suction lifters;
  • support with wheels;
  • lowered frames ;
  • production for photovoltaic panels;
  • additional suction cups by extensions.
